ABOUT THE ARTIST

I, Dymond Phillips is known for my creatively bold and colorful artwork. Born in Los Angeles, California, raised in Stone Mountain, Georgia, I started painting at the age of ten. I grew up in a creative environment. My mother and father are both artists so it was pretty natural that I became a artist as well. When I was a child my father always enrolled me in after school and summer art programs. When he was painting, he would set up an easel for me and I would paint beside him. He would have me paint whatever he was painting and we would compare the two.  This technique would help me in my creative process. I would also travel with my father to art festivals where he features some of my work.

Following in my father's footsteps, I became a portrait, surreal and landscape artist. The  mediums I use are watercolor, acrylic, and oil. I have won Best of Show and Honorable Mention Awards in college competitions and art shows. I have earned a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts at Georgia State University in 2017 and I am now currently marketing and selling my artwork online, in galleries, and art venues.

My goal is to open up my own gallery and to established a successful career in selling my paintings. I am also in the process of branching my artwork out into clothing, illustrations, sculptures, home accents and many other things.
